Today, we are announcing that AISLE and Cohere have signed an LoI for Cohere to acquire AISLE. This marks the beginning of a new chapter for AISLE and our team. When the transaction completes, our Prague headquarters will become Cohere's Prague office. Together, we intend to push the frontier of AI cybersecurity by bringing autonomous security systems closer to the development of frontier-class foundation models. Our goal is to defend the software infrastructure our democratic societies depend on.

We launched AISLE out of stealth almost exactly one year ago to build autonomous AI systems capable of discovering and remediating vulnerabilities in critical software. Since then, our team has discovered more than 500 previously unknown vulnerabilities assigned CVEs across more than 100 codebases, from all 12 vulnerabilities in OpenSSL's January security release to 18 of the 24 CVEs in curl's latest release just now.

This work taught us how strongly model capabilities and the surrounding system reinforce each other. The system determines how models explore large codebases, reject false positives, and turn findings into patches that maintainers trust. Better models raise the ceiling of the entire system. Cohere's ecosystem of frontier-model research, enterprise deployment, and sovereign AI makes it the right place to bring security research directly into model development and training.

We cannot stress enough how excited we are about this combination. All three of us will continue working on this mission, together with the broader team. Ondrej Vlcek, AISLE's CEO, will join as Senior Vice President, Cohere Cyber, which is a new unit focused on bringing cybersecurity solutions to Cohere’s customers. Jaya Baloo will become Cohere's global Chief Information Security Officer. Dr. Stanislav Fort, who led AISLE's AI cybersecurity research and engineering as CTO and Chief Scientist, will become Vice President, AI Security. In this role, he will lead AI security research at Cohere and work with Cohere co-founder and CTO Ivan Zhang to connect security research with core model development and training.

Our mission remains unchanged: to secure the software foundations of technological civilization as AI becomes increasingly powerful. Together with Cohere, we want to make discovering, validating and fixing vulnerabilities a continuous defensive capability that scales with the systems we need to protect. For AISLE customers and partners, our focus remains on continuity and stronger products. We will share more details as the transaction progresses.

We are proud of what the entire AISLE team has built, grateful to the maintainers, customers and partners who trusted us, and excited about what we can build with Cohere.
